About the event
Are you interested in learning how to monitor your local river or stream to gauge its overall health and contribute to scientific data used to make critical conservation decisions? Maybe you are already involved in water quality monitoring and want to brush up on your skills and connect with other community scientists? Whether you're new or seasoned, this training is for you!
We will teach you the simple steps to monitor a stream for dissolved oxygen, flow rate, clarity, temperature, and the presence of macroinvertebrates. Water Action Volunteers is a great way to help your community as a family and appreciate your natural surroundings over the summer.
Please RVSP for our training on Saturday, May 30th from 9 AM - 12 PM with the above form. Please reach out to grace@uppersugar.org with any questions, and we look forward to exploring the water with you soon!
